These come from the somatotype classification:

🔹 Ectomorph (lean / thin)

  • Slim body

  • Narrow shoulders & hips

  • Low body fat

  • Finds it hard to gain weight or muscle

👉 This is what most people mean by “lean person.”


🔹 Mesomorph (muscular / athletic)

  • Naturally muscular

  • Broad shoulders

  • Gains muscle easily

  • Medium body fat

👉 NOT lean-thin, but strong-looking


🔹 Endomorph (rounder / higher fat)

  • Softer body

  • Gains fat easily

  • Wider waist
